It all worked without any problems. Tonight I upgraded my WordPress installation to version 2.5, the release that finally came out yesterday. Thanky to the new gallery feature, I will be able to add photos to my posts more easily. Luckily, I will be able to use all my plugins just like before, they all work fine. This is definitely the coolest Wordpress release ever and the next day I will be checking out some of the new coding features, such as the in-build gravatar function and the possibility to create a custom admin design and, of course, the new shortcode API…lots of cool stuff to test
How were your first 2.5 moments?

As you can see, I changed the layout for this site again. It was kind of hard this time, because I had yet another layout finished and then decided to discard it, because I did n ot like it anymore suddenly and was not very eager to finish or even upload it. After some thinking I had a sudden rush of inspiration and started something new. Half an hour of testing later, I had found the color scheme that I loved: A combination of choclate flavour brown and pink in various tones. I hope you like it. Browser testing is still running, so if you see any error on the site, please feel free to contact me.

Dear reader of my blog and visitor of this domain, I just might admit I hated the former layout and had to create a new one. I am never content with my work and especially when it comes to webdesign never seem to rest a long time on a layout, but rather plan the next one, and then spend hours creating it. Most of the time is then dedicated to correcting the errors cause by my dear friend IE 6 and his brothers 5.5 and 5.01. They break fluid layouts, they add to the margins and then shove my second sidebar to the ground. However, the number of visitors using these browsers is constantly decreasing and now about 49% of the visitors with IE are using IE 7.
Anyway, I fixed the errors (hopefully ALL errors)
Additionally, I updated the About section, so you might have a look at it.

Most of you might already know that I am somewhat impatient. Before new WordPress version 2.3 came out, I already installed the beta release here on my blog and got confused first by some plugin breaking because of the new database structure. But then it all worked fine.
With it came a new layout I created last weekend, whose content and sidebars are fluid. As always, my dear friends IE 5.5 and 6 proved to be party poopers and made the layout break. Instead of letting my hair fall from my head in anger, I simply decided to let only one of the sidebars show in IE 6 and lower. You can still navigate the site and its posts using mentioned browsers, but I suggest you to switch to another browser instead (Why not try Firefox;-))
Besides that, I add to deal with some nasty spiders that dared entering my bathroom without permission. This morning one of those creatures sat on my bathtowel. I discovered the beast, luckily, before rubbing my face with it. (Must have been a guardian angel who saved me;-))
