About me

100_0399 My name is Daniela and I am the owner of this small webplace, where I write about the daily incidents that occur while I travel through this thing called life. By the way, I am German and located in Germany. 100_0110 In 2006, I graduated from the University of Hildesheim and obtained a B.A. grade in International Communication and Translation. Since then, I have been employed as an office assistant in two different companies. During my studies, I lived 300 kilometers from home in a small room. After being able to earn my first bucks, I moved into my first actual apartment, situated nearby a subway station and a shopping centre.

And what else?

My free time apart from work is dedicted to a bunch of things. My biggest interest is in Internet, webdesigning and everything related to that. Equipped with a huge cup of coffee from my pad machine I am able to spend hours and hours creating images, CSS files and trying to handle PHP code of WordPress themes. As I am never content with my work, I create new layouts on a regular basis, trying to apply the planned improvements. In May 2007 I started playing chess. I had been wanting to learn it at the age of 10, but never actually did so. Now I joined a local chess club and probably I am the worst player ever, but it is fun anyway, and this is the most important aspect for me. I am not aspiring to become a world champion, which, honestly, is not humanly possible… I also enjoy good music from many different genres, and good books, which is why the local library is my second home. Sometimes when I am inspired I do write shortstories and poems in German.

Meet my flatmates

100_0432The orchids. Generally I have never been that fond of gardening, flowers and related stuff. Nevertheless, I am a big fan of orchids, and for me, they are the most beautiful flowers of all. They live happily looking out of my kitchen window, blooming and growing with all the light they get and the water they get from me.
