Time manipulation?

When I was a child, I used to wait anxiously for Christmas Eve to arrive. On December 1st, with the opening of the very first door of the Christmas calendar, I wondered how I should ever mahage to survive those 3 weeks and two days until the 24th. It was such a long time for me. My mother and grandmother used to tell me that for grown-ups time goes by much faster than for the kids. I never believed that until now.

Now those three weeks seem like just a few days. Now Christmas Eve is only a few days away and I feel it is going too fast. Does it have to do with stopping to believe that it is Santa Claus who brings the presents? Or is it the fact that I am too busy with work and other plans that I forgot how time actually flies away?

Today I also reorganized the fotos section with the help of the Slickr plugin. Together with Lightbox, the photo are all now very neatly organized and can be viewed comfortably.

It is the first gallery plugin and works for me. A lot of the plugins I used before were either hard to install, or caused some errors within my WordPress installation. More photos will be coming up soon, as I feel some urge to take pictures of the city at night with all the lights before Christmas will be over.

I guess that these days, I don’t get quite so psyched about Christmas anymore. So the time flies by really quickly - because I’m not thinking about it constantly, as I used to. Maybe it’s the same with you?
By the way, I love this layout. It’s very smooth and colourful.

You know as sad as that sounds I think they’re right. I don’t think it has anything to do with Santa. I think as we grow older, our perception of time changes. As a kid we think we have all the time in the world so it seems so long, but as adults we know it’s limited.

I know exactly how you feel. I also think it has to do with our perception of time changing. And as sad as it is (wow,my comment sounds like I copied Amy’s, didn’t mean to do so ^^)every year I get less and less excited about christmas…but I think that has to do with growing up )

I don’t celebrate Christmas, so I don’t know ) But I know that as we grow older, time flies. So, shop for presents as soon as you can ~
