Escaped the flu

I feel it in my forehead, I feel it in my nose
The flu is all around me, and so the sneezing goes
Viruses in the wind, they are everywhere I go

The office at work is half empty and when in the train, everybody is coughing, sneezing and looking like they were about to faint. I almost got there too, but luckily managed to escape the bacteria around by taking tons of Vitamin C and anti-headache pills.
On Friday I played my first chess tournament. It is a series of tournaments extending over a period of 8 months. There were very good players in the field, but I think I did well and even did win one game. That was surprising, because the other player is so much better than yours truly. This is the second time I find myself achieving higher goals when I am having a cold or fighting against it.
Anyway, I am practising to to well in the next round, too. 
Good luck in the next round, and way to beat the cold! I am in a current state of disinfection and vitamin C, myself. *lol*

Glad you prevented the flu from invading your system! Being sick isn’t great. I’m very sickly so I know.
And congrats on being able to advance to your next match in the tournament! Hope you’ll win more games. I remember when I was in the 1st grade and I was able to win over the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade players. One of the 5th grade players beat me though.
I did not escape it this year unfortunately. It seems like every virus fancies me (and I don’t know if I should feel happy or sad about it).

Lol that made me laugh. I am really bad at avoiding the flu I seem to get it like all the time when winter hits. Lucky you from not getting it though, it really sucks being ill. Good luck with the tournament.
I wish I could easily beat colds. I do as much as I can but I still catch it and it stays with me for weeks.
LOL! I get sick very easily. The last time I got sick was about 3 weeks ago. it sucked and I had to stay in bed for two whole days. Haha
Anyway, congratulations on the chess game! My brother and his friend was just playing it a while ago =D I can’t play chess. I will get my brother to teach me some day. Hehe

Your tournament sounds very interesting! I never heard of anyone being in a chest tournament, but I hope you do well! It takes great concentration and strength, and strategy to win. Good luck!

Ive just recovered from the flu. Bastard thing! I thought that vitamin c thing was just a kinda urban legend or something lol. I’ll remember it for next time.
UGH - the flu is everywhere right now. Or at least it seems that way. I just got over it myself, and it was awful. I still have a bit of a cough, but now my poor hubby is beginning to get sick. Flu = evilness. Flu poem = awesomeness. ^^

I had a mild case of the flu about two weeks ago. It was absolutely horrible, but I did my best to overcome it with some chicken soup and plenty of fluids with Vitamin C. I now carry Purell around with me in order to avoid getting the virus again.
What kind of laptop do you have?
