You are afraid of your TV? And of small girls with long black hair hanging over their faces? You refuse to answer the phone? Then, obviously, you have been ringified (shiny new neologism, by the way -) ) Back in 2003, a friend told me about that certain film and she claimed she could not sleep with the lights switched off after seeing that film. Before, they even joked about calling that friend who had been with them to the movies, and whisper: 7 dayssssss…

I borrowed the movie on a DVD, after having caught a flu and being required to stay at home, and at first I was not well aware, what I was seeing.

The next night I saw my dark pullover hanging by my white closet (Imagine how much darker blue looks at night…). Then suddenly I was afraid to walk into the living room to get my mobile phone, because it was night and….right…..the TV was in there, too.

In the morning I thought: “This cannot be true. I am a fool, I must be one”.

Tonight they are showing it on German free TV for the first time. I already told my colleagues at work to watch it because they have not done so yet…and no, I have not got their phone numbers -)

I didn’t see the ring but I saw the second one. It wasn’t that scary but I had my hands covering my face the whole time. If you don’t see the creepy little girl then everything else isn’t as scary. I think the first one was probably better than the second.

The Ring has got to be the scariest movie of ALL time!
I remember after watching it when it first came out, I went home and took out the TV from my room and put up posters of Tobey Maguire in the bathroom mirror. This lasted for about 6 months. Even now, I still get freaked out when I’m all alone in front of the TV!
    Haha good times!

The Ring is scary as hell. It’s probably one of the scariest I’ve seen. I remember after watching it, I was scared of the dark, too. (

My, oh my. 3 years ago I saw Ring. Fortunately, I didn’t experience the phobia what my friends claimed to have experienced shortly. Don’t you think the ‘phobia’ was kind of a socially communicable disease? D

OH GODD. I hate scary movies so I refuse to watch them. I was nearly forced to watch the Ring, glad I didn’t now!

@Yoru: Yes, I think that part of the phobia is co-created by the environment. Although I have to admit that the film is one of the scariest I have ever seen.
