The last days I was fiddling around on my entry for the Sandbox Designs Competition and it took all my time. No blogging here, although there are some things to be told. Yesterday I submitted my entry and now I will be waiting for the results and maybe checking out other opportunities to use the Sandbox theme for other creations of mine.
Looking back I have to smile remembering that one year ago I did not know how to install a local WordPress on my server and such things. Back then I was staring unbelievably at WordPress Themes, not even knowing a slightest thing about how they are created. And still there is lots to learn. This is what I like so much about it.

Now you could try to predict what you will know in a year´s time! Write it down and check next summer whether you were right
A teacher of mine always said that we had to make drawings of ourselves and what we would like to be doing in a year´s time. This way, we´d be encouraged to make it come true…
Ah, I like reflecting on how I used to be! Especially one time, when I stumbled back upon one of my first websites — which was co-owned with someone else, back when neither of us knew what the heck we were even doing.
I did eventually get the hang of it though — and I just re-experienced the whole “staring at Wordpress themes in a confused state” feeling again not long ago. I was trying to finally customize my themes so they were controlled by CSS rather than jumbled up codes, etc. Well, that and trying to understand widgets…
Once you understand themes you can’t believe how simple they are!
I might widgetify my themes!
@Dacil: That sounds interesting. Maybe I will be suprised when reading those notes. maybe not  Are you doing so?

@Stacy and Han: Well you see after mastering one aspect, there is still the next issue on the list to be tackled. Fun, isn’t it
I’m an alien to Wordpress. I seriously can’t do them.
I hope you get the results you want from competition.
This entry reminded me of how long I have not been designing. Almost a year, to be exact.
Anyway, all the best for the competition’s results. As long as you enjoyed the process, that is what’s most important.
Your entry is alike mine! A year ago, I first installed Wordpress, unfortunately I lost all of my old contents, and I don’t have any archived items until I think march?? I’ve installed and reinstalled way too many ^-^
Loving your layout!
I still can’t work wordpress right. I have all the basics, I can install it and stuff. But I always have to use premade themes because when it comes to making my own I’m clueless!
Congrats on learning how to build templates in the last year. I find the task extremely daunting.
I love wordpress…really, the internet in general. There are always new things. Always something to learn. I just love it.
I love wordpress! When I had a domain, and switched from greymatter to WP… I was in love! Everything about it was great and making themes were really easy.
I love Wordpress, a year ago also I was so clueless as to how to code in them, it was confusion, now its like a piece of cake, I really love wordpress, makes having a site, that much easier.
