New theme: Stripes

This afternoon I uploaded a new theme: Stripes. This is the first layout ever without a fixed width, created out of the desire to try some things when it comes to CSS. Again, I use the sliding doors technique for the navigation (Thank you Douglas Bowman).
The big hooray this time goes to the online

Stripe Generator

This wonderful tool, on the website being referred to as the “ultimate tool for Web 2.0 designers” can create tiled images in png format of stripes (example: my header). You can choose the size of the stripes, the distance between them, as well as the background. Gradients can also be created. To refresh, you can click on the preview image and look how your stripes look like. If you are done, just click on download and you will be able to save the image to your desktop.
It is very easy to use and provides stunning results.

Changes and additional features

For the first time, I got to add some code to separate the look of guest comments from those I write as an answer. This will make it easier to distinguish my answers to comments from the other commenters statements. I also tried and bring some order into the search results page. My goal is to give the reader a guide on where he is on the side and to not let him feel alone. This is a nice thought I think. Do never let your visitors alone in the dark.

Good night everybody (Those who are not in my time zone: Good morning or whatever.:-)

A stripe generator? WOW - how funky. I shall have to give that little device a test, once I can access the site, that is. For some reason, IE tells me it’s unaccessable. Oh well. I have it bookmarked and will try again later. Thanks for the tip!

I saw that stripe generator and played around with it, but I haven’t had time to put up a new theme yet.

Your non-fixed-width theme is so lovely. finally someone’s theme fits my screen! Your font is still a bit small, though. It’s hard having a high resolution.

Official comments is a fun plugin/hack. My site would be a lot less fun (for me at least) without it.
