Getting sunny again (The pre-TGIF post)
04
Today was a day full of sunshine and 25 °C. So nice and a decent reason to cheer me up from unpleasant situations at work. A friend of mine is invited to a wedding, and among the relatives is a little girl of four years. He wanted to buy a present for her, so we went to the toys department of a big store to look for something and there was really a lot. Barbies, baby dolls with nearly all life functions, little ponies and so on. I was fascinated, because inspite of me turning 25 this year, I find it too lovely to look around and see all the stuff for children. They even have a lot of play cell phones that teach the children maths, and small, colored laptops with a lot of programs on them. Such things were not available for me back then, but I had my fun too as a child. We decided for a doll in a small backpack, which looks too cute. The rest of the day was spent in a cafe, with some strawberry milkshake and ice cream. And the most wonderful thing guys? Tomorrow is friday….;-)

Thanks for the comment, its sweet that he got her a present, what did he get her in the end, there are so many childrens toys to chose from these days
That’s sweet to buy the kid a present
By the way, your site looks so nice because I
Somehow my comment got eaten up…
I was saying that I love pink
That’s so nice of you to have gotten her a toy. Sounds really cute =]]]
i’m also a kid-at-heart. toys still excites me as if i haven’t grown at all! so whenever we go to the toys section, my eyes are sparkling, literally, with joy! haha!
that’s cute; i bet she’ll love the gift.
(& right now i’m craving a milkshake and icecream)
=)
I always have a blast at toy stores or in the toy department of regular stores. I’ve been a huge fan of Barbies since I was a little girl and have passed that down to my hubby’s niece, or at least I hope I have. ^^ I buy her a lot of the little Kelly dolls (she’s six) and I always spend hours trying to decide what to buy her. I guess my inner six-year old is a bad influence over me. *lol*
I always find it very hard to find a nice gift for my boyfriend’s nephews. It’s not that there aren’t any nice things to buy them, but they have everything already.
I love going to toy stores too. I feel like a kid whenever i go there. It brings me back to my choldhood and makes me feel like a kid again. I hope the wedding is fun.
Aww that is soo sweet! I get the same too. When I hve my own children I think I will spoil them alot with all these fascinating toys you can get nowadays! But they are expensive most of them. Weee!
I love hot weather too. The cold is so nasty. And passing time in toy stores is an ideal way to spend an afternoon. Especially when kids are at school!! I really fancy some ice cream now… I think it’s your layout too, it looks like it would be ice-cream flavoured.
Aw, sounds like you guys had a blast! That sounds like a really sweet present, too. I LOVE warm weather, I’m so glad it’s springtime!! Ah, there’s nothing like the feeling of an upcoming Friday…:D Take care!
I love warm weather.
I really don’t believe that a person could outgrow a toy store. Even if you don’t buy anything, just taking in the atmosphere of a toy store is rejuvenating.
By the way your layout is very adorable. I can almost taste the strawberries in my mouth.
Hearts,
Sho
Toys these days are getting more and more high tech. The last time I’ve stepped into the toys’ section was waaaaay back in 1994 and recently, I happened to pop by for a short look-a-round and experienced a huge shock when I saw what the fortunate tots have now.
Now, why wasn’t I born recently?
thanks:)
wow, 25 degrees thats warm
well where I live that’s considered warm anyways:P
I love looking at childrens toys too. They have so much cool stuff now! But I’m always disappointed at the way they market girls toys - talk about encouraging complexes later.
It is always interesting to go into the toy department and see what they’re coming out with now. You will easily find your inner child there too. Haha.
Yup TGIF! (thank god it’s friday).. hehe. But today is actually tuesday, but I don’t care. It’ll be weekend soon enough. And summer vacation in a month.
Deep inside, no one gets tired of the toy store. I wish i could be amused for hours with toys these days *remembers fun childhood memories*.
sigh, i miss sunny days… Vancouver dont often have it.. we get rains all the time so annoying…
anywayz. i remember going to toystores back in the day and thers juz so many stuff to see… and like you dont know wer to look… left rights down and even up… toys hangin.. its wonderful. but nah.. things hav changed. my new toystore now are electronic shopss! or online stores.. lolz… im startin to think goin to a kids store are lame! wahhaa
I’ll be 27 this year and I still love to look at the toy aisles as well. I never buy (unless it’s for a cousin or a kid I babysit) but I love to look. I don’t see anything wrong with looking.
I love Sunny Days and Warm Weather, I can see why it makes you happy, I get happy for those days as well.
Thanks
